Fiona Mariah comes from Western Australia. She completed her formal music studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She was awarded many prestigious Scholarships and prizes and in 1994 graduated with the Academy’s highest award (Dip RAM) in Opera Performance, as well as a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music.

Since then her operatic and recital career has taken her around the world delighting her audiences with her engaging stage presence, dazzling vocal display and powerful acting abilities all of which leave the critics searching for superlatives

Fionas' operatic roles are too numerous to mention here but they encompass the major soprano roles of Mozart, Puccini, Handel, Verdi, Offenbach, Lehar and Britten etc. As a concert artist she has an extensive repertoire of light opera, operetta and oratorio. One of her many career highlights was as the soprano soloist in Mahler's 4th Symphony, conducted by Sir Colin Davis.

In 2002 Fiona was named ‘Covent Garden Market Festival Performer of the Year’, for her one woman opera show, which she performed regularly to the delight of the crowds. She also appeared in ‘Phantom of the Opera’ in London’s West End where she was a cast member for 18 months.
